Simama na Mama
We Are Building Strong and Independent Women in Kenya
Simama na Mama, meaning “Stand with Women” in Swahili, is a powerful program that goes beyond simply equipping women with skills. It empowers women to become self-sufficient leaders who can transform their families and communities.

Key Areas
Economic Security and Emotional Well Being
- We provide women with Entrepreneurship Skills and Training to help in financial stability. Through practical workshops and mentorship, women gain the knowledge and confidence to start and grow their own businesses, empowering them to achieve financial independence and stability.
- Additionally, the program offers Counseling and Guidance Services to address the emotional toll of hardship and loss. This provides a safe and nurturing environment for women to seek support as they navigate challenges such as grief and loss. By fostering a network of support, the program empowers women to build resilience and overcome adversity.
Going Beyond
Fostering a Strong Community
Community Belonging
Simama na Mama fosters a sense of community and belonging by establishing women's support groups. These groups create a platform for accountability, encouragement, and the sharing of experiences. Women can learn from each other, offer emotional support, and celebrate successes together.
Community Participation
Additionally, the program encourages participation in community events. This social integration empowers women to become active participants in shaping their communities and advocate for positive change.
Spiritual Nourishment
Moreover, spiritual nourishment is integrated into the program, offering women opportunities for spiritual growth and reflection. Through activities such as prayer groups, meditation sessions, and discussions on faith, women are supported in finding strength and solace in their spiritual beliefs.

Empowering Leaders of Change
By addressing a range of needs, Simama na Mama empowers women to not only become financially secure but also confident leaders who create a brighter future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
